Series / PD-01 Debut Embryo by Gordon
Roberts (Laser Cut)
This De'but is a competition flying embryo designed by Gordon Roberts
of the Cleveland Free Flight Society. It was declared plane of the
year by the National Free Flight Society in 2001. This is a modern
design kit of a winning embryo. It has a geodetic wing structure for
strength and lightness, and the wing is removable for easy transportation.
This kit is one of a new class of kits we call Pro Design. These kits
are for the serious competitor who wants to build a winning plane
without the hassle of working from scratch.
This free flight rubber powered model airplane kit includes
a full-size rolled CAD drawn plan, building and flying instructions,
premium laser cut balsa parts, balsa strip wood, FAI rubber,
TissueCal
markings -which are much lighter than press-on or water slide decals
because they are printed directly on the tissue, clear plastic for
cockpit, wire, wheels, propeller, Peck nose bearing, Easy
Built Lite colored tissue (colors vary). You will need a hobby
knife, fine sandpaper, building
board, pins, and glue.

"I just finished my Debut embryo, what a cool plane. I plan to use
it at our Scale Staffel contests here in San Diego. I came up with
this way of popping up the stab to keep the tail light and to dethermalize
quick. One small piece of SuperSport glued to the stab and the rudder
with the fuselage notched out at the leading edge of the stab. Keep
up the good work." - Bob Overcash

"Pictures of my finished model. First "stick" model I've built in 40 years. The kit was really nice -- a real pleasure.
" R. Wayne Lowery

"The model flies very well and I thought I would let you know how I built the landing gear.
I am really challenged whenever bending wire like you see on the
Debut. I substituted dowels inserted into aluminum tubing. I had
to wrap scotch tape around the dowel to snug it up where it is
inserted into the bottom of the fuselage." - Robert Shields
Balsa Model Airplane Kit, Balsa flies better.
