Curtiss P-36 Hawk 75A
Kit FF-89 Curtiss Hawk 75A is a 1/13 scale, flying model. Pre-1942
design, eligible for Society of Antique Modelers (SAM) contests. This
kit features a vintage 1940 design by Ron Clarke, updated plans,
and a vacuum-formed canopy. Uses the Box
and Former method of construction.
Although the Hawk, also
known as the P-36, saw very little combat in American hands, this
fighter was to see quite a bit of combat in foreign hands. In fact,
it is one of the few military aircraft actually to see combat on
both sides during the Second World War. The largest foreign operator
of the Hawk was the Armee de l'Air, the French Air Force.
This free flight rubber powered kit includes a full-size
rolled plan, building and flying instructions, hand-picked competition weight
printed balsa and balsa stripwood, rubber motor, E-B propeller, EBM thrust button,
clear plastic, vacuum-formed canopy, wheels, landing gear wire, and Easy
Built Lite colored tissue. You will need a building
board, pins, hobby knife, fine
sandpaper, and glue.
