Model Kits / D-09 Silver Dart
Kit D-09 Silver Dart is a Canadian pioneer airplane, 1/24 scale
display model with open fuselage design. Flown in 1909, the Silver
Dart was the first powered flight in Canada. Designed by the Aerial
Experiment Association, a team which included Alexander Graham Bell,
Glenn Curtiss, Douglas McCurdy and other distinguished minds. It
was also the first time a water-cooled engine was used in an airplane.
This display kit contains a full-size plan, building instructions,
hand-picked balsa wood, and Easy Built Lite colored
tissue. You will need a building board,
pins, hobby knife, fine
sandpaper, and glue. The builder
determines the level of detail for this model and may need to supply
additional materials.
