Kit D-06 Westland Whirlwind is a 1/18 scale display model that uses
the Box and Former method of building.
Includes a vacuum-formed canopy and markings. This kit was introduced
during WWII. Pre-1942 design, eligible for Society of Antique Modelers
(SAM) contests.
The Whirlwind was a British WWII aircraft which served as a short
range fighter/bomber. It was the first aircraft to be armed with four
20mm cannon.
This display kit contains a full-size rolled plan, building
instructions, printed balsa wood, hand-picked balsa strip wood, vacuum-formed
canopy, wheels, Tissuecal™ markings (lighter than press-on or
water slide decals because they are printed directly on the tissue),
and Easy Built Lite colored tissue. You will
need a building board, pins, hobby
knife, fine sandpaper, and glue.
