Kit FF-35 Stinson Reliant is a 1/42 scale, flying model that uses the Box and Former method of simplified construction. Pre-1942 design, eligible for Society of Antique Modelers (SAM) contests.

The Stinson Aircraft Corporation introduced the Reliant in 1933. It was a 4 or 5 seat monoplane used primarily for civilian purposes until the start of WWII at which time several dozen were impressed into service by the US Coast Guard and Navy.

This free flight rubber powered kit contains a full-size rolled plan, building and flying instructions, printed balsa wood, hand-picked balsa stripwood, rubber motor, propeller, nose package, clear plastic for the windshield, wheels, landing gear, and Easy Built Lite colored tissue. You will need a building board, pins, hobby knife, fine sandpaper, and glue.

"Hello! I have attached some pictures of my version of your FF-35 Stinson Reliant kit. This was the first Easy Built Model I have built and it was a blast! I constructed it pretty close to the plans, but with the edition of some braces to the landing gear. I also used a bit of a different method for the wheel skirts, I used 4 layers of flat stock balsa; a layer of 1/8" balsa and 3 layers of 1/32". For covering I used the chalked tissue method outlined on the 'model tips' page of your site. I used white glue to attach the tissue to the airframe, and then Krylon acrylic satin clear finish to seal it once totally covered. Over all it was a great modeling experience. It was pretty easy going, which is a nice change from some of my last more meticulous builds! It's a great little flier too. I've had the best results with a single 12" loop of the supplied rubber. It tends to have problems overcoming the torque from heavier motors, or more loops, since it's such a little thing. Easily trimmed, it will make nice big slow circles lasting half a minute or longer! I hope you enjoy the pictures. I can't wait to build more Easy Built Models!"
